Everything Everywhere All at Once

So this movie came out when every big movie studio was making movies about the multiverse and doing a shit job at them. EEAAO on the other hand was not only a good multiverse movies, but one of my favorite movies of all time. While this is a science fiction movie, it feels way more grounded than the massive scope that this multiversal story tells, and I love it.

Community

Six seasons and a movie! Community's a show I've rewatched multiple times, and it's very dear to my heart. The seven main characters in the study group have such good chemistry with one another, and it's really fun watching all of their antics throughout the show. This show makes a ton of different pop culture references (like every other episode) but it does it so well, and I love it so much.

Adventure Time

At first, this show just looks like your generic 2012 Cartoon Network show. And if you've watched just a few episodes, you'd definitely think so. But when you watch it chronologically, a masterpiece begins to emerge. There's so much I could talk about here, from how the show maintains a strong continuity throughout, or how there seems to be a new character introduced almost every episode. If you haven't binged it, I highly encourage it!

Gravity Falls

I made the mistake of putting this show off for a while, and I'm so glad I eventually ended up watching it. This is one of Disney's best shows, and there's so much to love here. One of my favorite aspects of this show (like with Adventure Time) is the deep lore present underneath its seemingly cute and comedic appearance. It's pretty similar to Adventure Time in that regard, but it's way shorter. Give it a watch!

Anime

Neon Genesis Evangelion

I mostly watched this because of how culturally relevant NGE has been for the past 20ish years, but putting that aside it's still a really good anime to watch, easily being one of the best. If you've never watched anime at all, maybe don't pick this one as your first because it's pretty difficult to watch at times. For me, I really enjoyed this one since I studied psychology, and it's pretty evident that Shinji has an Oedipus complex /hj
